5 Questions with...Chiaki Ota

1. How did you first get involved with Friendship Presbyterian? I am from Japan and I came to Taiwan to study Chinese nine years ago. At the end of last year, my husband found out about this church because he played chess with a friend who joined FPC.
2. What do you do Monday through Saturday? Monday through Friday, I work as the manager of a restaurant. Friday evenings, I go to my community group, T.G.I.F. On Saturday, I enjoy my day off (I love to go the mountains).
3. What is something people might be surprised to learn about you? My Italian is better than my English! (And my English is better than my Portuguese!)
4. What do you find most challenging about being a Christian today? I have only recently become a Christian, but the most challenging thing I had to deal with in becoming a Christian was confessing to my parents about my baptism.
5. What is one of your favorite books of the Bible and why? Psalm 42. I knew Psalm 42 from Christian song, Lord, from Sorrows Deep I Call. It encourages me always and makes me feel that I put my hope in God.
