1. How did you first get involved with Friendship Presbyterian? Having grown up in cold Northern-Lower Michigan, I had always dreamed about tropical islands. I love mountains and the ocean--and Taiwan has plenty of both! Also, I had been interested in Asia since I was a kid because of martial arts, I knew a friend here, etc. The company I worked for in Taiwan said, "You live here," and I said, "Sounds good." Kevin Fulton was one of my housemates, and he introduced me to Friendship. I loved the solid Biblical preaching, as well as how friendly it is here.
2. What do you do Monday through Saturday? Teach English, study Chinese, and go hiking!
3. What is something people might be surprised to learn about you? I collect cool looking rocks.
4. What do you find most challenging about being a Christian today? Busyness. The world always offers something for you to do, especially in big cities, and it is easy for a lot of time go by before you realize God is not at the center.
5. What is one of your favorite books of the Bible? Proverbs, because it’s like "do this, don't do this" in order to honor God and have a happy life.
