This Sunday we light the candle for the fourth Sunday of Advent. This is the candle of LOVE. As we prepare for the coming of Jesus, we remember that Jesus is love. The Advent wreath is a circle with no beginning and no end. It is a symbol of God’s endless love. We will also relight the candle of HOPE, JOY & PEACE.

The word advent means “arrival.” Advent traditions celebrate the first advent (the birth) of Jesus Christ. These same celebrations view the Christmas story in light of God’s larger plan of salvation, looking forward to his second advent (his return) as King.

Come and join us each week of December as we celebrate Advent. Our newest members from our 2019 Fall membership classes will be leading us in the reading of the Advent lessons.
