Third Sunday of Advent

This Sunday we light the candle for the third Sunday in Advent. This is the candle of JOY. As we prepare for the coming of Jesus, we remember that Jesus is our hope and our peace. We will also relight the candle of HOPE & PEACE.

The word advent means “arrival.” Advent traditions celebrate the first advent (the birth) of Jesus Christ. These same celebrations view the Christmas story in light of God’s larger plan of salvation, looking forward to his second advent (his return) as King.

Come and join us each week of December as we celebrate Advent. Our newest members from our 2019 Fall membership classes will be leading us in the reading of the Advent lessons.
